The third edition of SOFIA LIGHTS took place under the motto “OFFLINE” and became a manifesto for a return to the real, sensory experience. In an era dominated by screens and algorithms, the festival offered the public a space for a “mind break.” Vrana Park was once again transformed into a magical reality, which proved that the peripheral areas of Sofia can be the center of a significant cultural event, successfully fulfilling the mission of decentralizing urban culture and turning nature into a stage for soulful art.

The works this year were aimed at rediscovering our deep connection with ourselves and the Universe. The installation “Particles” reminded us that we are woven from stardust and light, existing simultaneously as a particle and a wave, while “Breath” served as a valuable reminder that conscious breathing is the fastest way to tame the racing thoughts in our minds. Humility before nature as our first and ancestral temple was the theme of “Presence 2.0”, and the installation “Inward” created a space for meditative introspection into our own world. The experience was completed by parts of the landmark work “Invisible Threads”, which once again intertwined human destinies in the common magic of the night park, reminding us that we are part of a larger and beautiful whole.
